Fashions New Designers: JOSEPH ALTUZARRA

Joseph Altuzarra

Gaining the famed CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund prize in November 2011, the French designer Joseph Altuzarra, received an impressive £188k cash injection and World Class mentoring. Previous winners of the prize include Proenza Schouler, Derek Lam and Alexander Wang. He studied in Philadelphia, then landed a job as a design intern at "Marc Jacobs" Studio. Jobs with Proenza Schouler and Givenchy followed. He then set up his own label, Altuzarra.

 

With A-listers like Kate Bosworth already wearing one of his frocks, its only a matter of when, not if Altuzarra will join the like of Gaultier in Paris's fashion hall of fame.
