London Fashion Week 2013

This years showcasing of the upcoming autumn/winter 2013 collections at London Fashion Week proved to be a total blockbuster compared with past seasons.

Victoria Beckham jetted in to judge the International Woolmark Prize alongside Donatella Versace and Diane von Furstenberg; celebrity designer Tom Ford staged his womenswear catwalk for the first time in London, and Rihanna created a buzz with her debut fashion collection for River Island.

 

Its eclectic mix of British style puts London head and shoulders above New York, Milan and Paris. Long-established brand heavyweights such as Burberry, Mulberry and Vivienne Westwood sit on the catwalk schedule alongside edgier designer darlings like Christopher Kane, Mary Katrantzou and Erdem.

 

 

 London Fashion Week 2013 lived up to the hype that surrounded it and eager shoppers get ready for the trends to flood through from the catwalk onto the highstreet.
